The Mauritius Shipping Corporation Ltd (MSCL) was incorporated on 10th of January 1986 as a private limited company and owns/operates two vessels namely the MV “Mauritius Trochetia” and MV “Peros Banhos”

OUR VESSELS
MV Mauritius Trochetia
The MV Mauritius Trochetia is a passenger and cargo vessel serving as a vital maritime link between Mauritius, Rodrigues and Agalega. This vessel accommodates 38 crew members and 108 passengers in Tourist, First, Semi Deluxe and Deluxe type cabins and has a container carrying capacity of 165 TEUs.
Named after the Trochetia, the national flower of Mauritius, the vessel symbolizes national pride and resilience and plays a key role in ensuring reliable sea connectivity, facilitating the movement of passengers, commercial goods, and essential supplies primarily serving Agalega.
MV Peros Banhos
The MV Peros Banhos is a cargo vessel serving Mauritius and Rodrigues in transporting food suppliers, fuel, construction materials and other critical goods. This vessel accommodates 30 crew members and has a container carrying capacity of 270 TEUs.
Named after the Peros Banhos atoll in the Chagos Archipelago, the vessel reflects Mauritius’ maritime heritage and territorial history. MV Peros Banhos plays a strategic role in maintaining supply chains and supporting national presence and development in the Outer Islands.
